Life After graduating in 95, I went straight to college. I took about a 2 month break and starting Bowie State early. I participated in their Emerging Scholars program. I went to school for Child Psychology which quickly changed to Early childhood education. While attending Bowie in my first year I met my now future husband but then he was "love at first sight".I completed 2 years at Bowie. My first "job" after college was selling ladies shoes at Hecht's at Montgomery mall and Ballston commons. For almost 2 years I sold shoes then realized that I paid for college out my pocket. Then I landed my first career oriented job at Jullia Brown Montessori in Silver Spring. I did enjoy the montessori method however not that particular school. So with that in mind, I went on to teach Pre-school for Kindercare Learning Center in Lanham, md. Shorter commute from Greenbelt and I got to teach my own class. I taught 4 year olds. I loved it. The year 2002,I moved ten steps from my Alma Mater. Park place towers in Bladenburg, shortly after that move I became pregnant with my son. After having my son in Jan. of 2003 I quit my job at Kindercare and started my own daycare...Expand for more
